BLACKPINK’s Rosé Cosigned Flip-Flops as the Shoe of the Summer — See Photos

In prior years, it seems like everyone was Team Birkenstock, wearing the classic orthopedic sandals anywhere and everywhere. However, summer 2024 has proven that there’s room in the sandal space for another contender: the flip-flop. BLACKPINK bandmate Rosé is a fan, and after seeing how she incorporated the humble flip-flop into her looks, you will be too.

Rosé has slipped into flip-flops several times over the last couple of weeks, including a black and white pair with a menswear-inspired outfit of a black vest layered over a white tee, a black skirt, and black sunglasses. The flip-flops in question had a black base and chic white straps, perfectly coordinating with her ensemble. (The YSL shopping bags didn’t hurt either.)

Rosé wore the same outfit down to the shoes to the airport, and it’s basically all Saint Laurent. However, her flip-flops are the The Row’s Beach Flip Flop, which retail for $650 and come in a few colors, including black, white, and red.

Rosé must be a huge fan of the easygoing shoe because she wore it again while out in Paris twice. First with jeans and a shorter knit top to greet fans and then with a 2000s-inspired dress-over-jeans look. The musician pulled a simple black dress from the Row over a pair of classic wash denim, which she cuffed a few times to show off her flip-flops. Once again, she finished the ‘fit with a YSL bag. (She’s an ambassador for the fashion brand.)

Speaking of The Row, Kylie Jenner is another high-profile filp-flop fan. The Kylie Cosmetics founder slipped on a pair of what appear to be the very same flip-flops for a beachy vacation in Spain with her sister Kendall, pairing them with a bright red summer dress. You definitely don’t have to spend celebrity money on a pair, however; a simple pair of Havaianas can take you from the beach to the city at a much lower price point. Happy flip-flopping!
